Opis roli
Black Coast Systems connects software products, databases, communication tools and business workflows that need to behave like one coherent system. The Systems Integration Engineer owns the reliability of those connections. You design APIs and webhooks, build data synchronisation, handle authentication between services and make sure failures are visible and recoverable. This role is for engineers who enjoy understanding how several systems interact, not only how one application works in isolation.
Zakres odpowiedzialności
- Design and implement integrations between internal and external systems
- Build and maintain REST APIs, webhooks and service connections
- Implement reliable data synchronisation across applications and databases
- Handle authentication, tokens, permissions and secure service access
- Design retry logic, idempotency and failure recovery for critical workflows
- Monitor integration health through logs, alerts and operational checks
- Document data flows, dependencies and integration contracts
- Investigate difficult cross system bugs and data inconsistencies
- Support migrations and changes when connected services evolve
- Work with product engineers to keep integrations maintainable rather than fragile
Doświadczenie i umiejętności
- Strong experience with APIs, webhooks and backend integration patterns
- Good understanding of HTTP, JSON, authentication and common service protocols
- Experience with databases and data synchronisation
- Ability to design for retries, duplicate events and partial failures
- Strong debugging skills across several services
- Awareness of security, secrets management and permission boundaries
- Clear technical documentation and communication
- Experience with serverless or edge functions is useful
- Experience with Supabase, Resend, n8n, Make, Zapier or similar services is helpful but not required

An integration is only successful when the business process still works when one side is slow, unavailable or sends unexpected data. You map the source and destination systems, define the data contract and ownership rules, implement the connection and make its behaviour observable. You may connect BCC OS with communication services, AcrossEstate with internal systems or future products with external providers. Reliability, traceability and safe failure handling matter more than clever shortcuts.
